Right Whale Festival Stationary Package

This was a project I did in my Graphic Design class this semester. It was for a real client, Right Whale Festival, and it was a contest. They would choose the design they liked most. Mine didn't get chosen but I still think it is awesome.

The dead man bone's name is Jerry

I have a really funny story to tell all of you but it will have to wait till tomorrow. When I am not half asleep. So basically, like the rests of the posts on this blog... this one is also pointless.

I am so glad this class is over

Today I turned in my final project for Illustration II. I really disliked that class, but really more the teacher than the class. Our final illustration was an event poster for any event we wanted. I chose the KNOXVILLE BREWERS' JAM. This illustration is cut paper and digital. The poster is on 11x17 paper.

ART

Last night I spent a couple of hours doing a site specific sculpture in a puddle by the library. It turned out incredibly beautiful. The assignment was that we had to make an ephemeral piece of art. So I used sticks and oranges, both of which will rot and arranged them in a puddle that will dry up. It really is nice. I will post a picture of it later if I can. But I think I am going to do a lot of these this summer in my backyard. It is just a really good feeling to go somewhere secluded and spend a few hours arranging things and piling things up to create something completely new.

If you don't care about other people's dreams don't read this.

I had a dream that huge colorful foam, not styrofoam but the other kind, letters were falling from the sky. And NASA could see them in space and had been tracking them for a while. I was hiking with my dad and with some other people and we could see something in the sky and it was the foam letters. And a lot of people thought it was a sign that God really existed and others thought it was the apocalypse. And others thought it was aliens. And then it turned into one of those dreams that is like a video game because it turned out the letters were alive. And I figured out that if you touch them, or if they touch you, they take away a small percent of your lifeforce away from you. So my dad started running down the trail with some people and I was stuck with some other people because some of these letters had fallen in between us. It was really strange.

I also had a dream that my friend Hiller and I were on some kind of vacation and he had just gotten surgery, which he did in real life yesterday and I was like take your WAIT! Just remembered a huge part of that dream. Me, Hiller, my mom, and my brother were at an elementary school play and I got kicked out because they people behind me were talking and I turned around and shout STFU! to them. And then we went home and we were all about to go to sleep and someone turned on the TV and it was a movie of these two people having sex and the lady was on top and she did a backflip and landed back on the guy. So strange.
